Writer
In 2024, I found myself in a place in life I never imagined I would be. It was an unexpected chapter and one that stopped me in my tracks and forced me to reflect.
I began journaling, and what started as a simple act of writing soon became a deeply cathartic process. Page by page, I questioned how my life had arrived at this moment. It is not an ending by any means, but rather a hurdle along the road forward.
This is a story I feel compelled to tell.
And tell, I will. The events and the people who have shaped my life - whether briefly or profoundly - appear throughout these pages.
This is not a memoir, but a story alive with colourful characters and memorable encounters. A story of friendships, love, of travel and adventure, of marriages and children, of discovery and extraordinary experiences.
It is above all, an honest account.
Travel Blogger
This has become a ritual of presence. The seeing, painting and then writing gently settles the moment into memory.
With brush, a small watercolour set and paper, I create a small collage of the moment.
At times I carry a tiny canvas and some acrylic paint, allowing myself the quiet space to paint a single scene that has inspired me.
No matter where I travel, the beauty I encounter inspires me to document each scene in words, bringing deeper meaning to the visual moment.
The painting holds the colours of the memory and the writing holds the feeling of being back in the space and an archive of the journey.
About Me
Growing up in regional NSW in a creative family inspired a life long love of art and creativity in all its forms. Leaving this environment in the early 1980s, I embarked on travelling to, living in and experiencing myriad places within Australia, Asia and Europe. Immersing myself within various cultures, communities and landscapes allowed me to develop my creativity, working along side and learning from local artists.
Living on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia since 2003, and with my family grown, I undertook and completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree.
I am guided by and inspired by the untamed beauty of nature. As an enthusiastic hiker and traveller, my art serves as a vibrant tapestry of my journey, both physically and emotionally. Through experimentation and working with various techniques, I allow my work to evolve organically, embracing unexpected directions that lead to unique narratives.
